The Cradle

The Cradle

Ẹ káàbọ̀. You're in The Cradle now.

My grandfather ran a paper called The Cradle, out of Ilé-Ifẹ̀. For decades, it was the voice of the voiceless there. I use his name to carry that forward: spreading information, giving news, announcing what's ahead for Ẹlẹ́wà.

Before paper, we had drums to do this. Start here while you wait: The Drum Remembers.

Ẹlẹ́wà is ritualsware, everyday objects made to hold a ritual, not just decorate a shelf.

The Cradle arrives when there's something worth saying, not on a schedule. Running on our own time, not the clock's, is part of the healing.
